Pumpkin Patch!

I am so excited about these pictures!!! I can't thank Ashley enough for going with us to the pumpkin patch to capture these truly adorable photos.

9 months!

9 month stats:

17 lbs 2.5 oz (25 percentile)

28 in long (75 percentile)

16.5 in head circ (50 percentile)

This has been, by far, the most fun and busiest month of Makenna's life thus far. She is everywhere and into EVERY thing! How does a baby know exactly what she isn't supposed to have? Why is that exactly what she always wants? And how does she know how to throw the biggest fit ever just to get what she wants? Seriously, this girl has us trained already. All she needs to do is throw that sweet little head back and wail (with giant crocodile tears) and sure enough, she gets our cell phone, the remote control, the piece of paper, or the bottle of water that she wants.

She is now a standing machine. She will crawl right over to the couch and pull herself straight up. She gets a little help by using her mouth to grab onto the side of the couch :) We call her mouth her third hand. She uses it for everything.

She can also cruise along the side of the couch. She will move back and forth between the couch and foot-stool too. The only problem she has with standing now is that she can't get back down to the floor very gracefully. She either crashes and bonks her head on the way or she just stands and starts crying until we rescue her and put her back into a seated position.

The girl eats everything. We found out today that she loves fresh blueberries. She was having a lot of fun picking them up and squishing them between her fingers before shoving them into her mouth by the handfuls. Her nose has started turning orange from too many orange veggies. Here come the green beans, peas, and zucchini.

I wake up every morning (and usually at least once a night) to Makenna standing in her crib, banging on the side rails. If she isn't sleeping, she is on the move! There aren't a lot of times when she wants to be held or rock or carried anymore. She is becoming so independent. Well until she falls and gets hurt, then she wants mommy loves. :)

Here are a few pictures of her on the move:
