Pumpkin Patch 2010

Makenna and I drove up to the pumpkin patch to meet Mike after he got off work. Makenna and I got there first, so we headed out into the pumpkin patch. Makenna was so excited to see the "apples" (yep, she called pumpkins apples) and started counting all of them (two, two, three--we are still practicing that:).

Then Makenna got a little bored, so we went and found a wheelbarrow. She loved going for a wheelbarrow ride, but you can't tell from the pictures because every time I stopped to take a picture she started crying...

Mike finally made it and Makenna was all smiles as she saw his truck pull into the parking lot :)

When we were getting ready to leave, Makenna was sure that we needed these ones too...

Doin' the Puyallup!

Okay, first can I just ask, "How did my baby get so big, already?"

She had SO fun at the fair this year. I was worried that she wouldn't be tall enough to go on the rides, but her ponytail just put her past the height line! I was worried that she would be scared on the rides, especially the ones we couldn't be with her on, but she LOVED them. The faster the better. She cried when she had to get off the cars and asked "more, please!" when we went down the giant slide.

Makenna 20 months

I put together a quick list of all the words Makenna is saying now. I tried to include only the words she says consistently and clearly. I think she is doing really well! It seems like everyday now she learns a new word or says words more clearly, enough that we can all understand her. I'm sure there are a couple of words I missed, if I think of them I'll add them to the list.

Ah.mazing!

This had to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. ORCA WHALES right in front of the cabin!! Whales come through every year or so, but I have never hopped on a jet ski with my dad and gone right out on top of them. Well we kept a safe distance for the most part, but when they would go under water for 5-10 minutes and pop up on the other side of you, you can't help but imagine them swimming right below you!

There were 7 (maybe 6) total. There were at least two HUGE ones and two newer babies.

U-Fish

I have never been to a U-Fish place before....It was so cool! You are guaranteed a bite every 2 seconds. That's my kind of fishing; especially with a 19 month old who has the attention-span that lasts approximately 1 minute tops.

Here she is waiting patiently while daddy baits the hook.

Fish ON!!

The fish literally SWARM the hook.

You are suppose to keep ANY fish you hook, but since we don't eat a lot of fish, we are more "catch and release" type people. This is Mike trying to sneak the fish back into the water.

We did end up keeping one (so we wouldn't get in trouble)...I'm not quite sure what we are going to do with it?!

They even had goats, peacocks, ducks, cats, and rabbits for Makenna to look at.

And here is a picture of Makenna's black eye that she got earlier in the morning. She tried to stand inside a little basket, which tipped over, and she smacked her eye on a wood chair. Ouch!
